Based in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, Tatro Hinds is a team of two engineers with over 80 years of combined experience in concrete materials, evaluation, testing, design, and construction. We have served as consultants and project managers on many projects and in numerous countries around the globe, Over the years, we have worked on hundreds of conventional and mass concrete projects and more than 80 RCC (Roller Compacted Concrete) projects beginning with the the world’s first all RCC dam – Willow Creek Dam located in Eastern Oregon, USA.
We have extensive mix design, testing and application experience with all types of concrete including RCC, mass, structural, underwater, tremie, shotcrete and paving; and we have developed specialized test equipment for testing concrete properties such as shear and direct tension.
Jim Hinds
Jim is a civil engineering consultant specializing in evaluation and application of concrete and concrete materials. Jim has extensive experience in construction and the evaluation and testing of concrete including mix design. Jim has more than 36 years of experience in concrete technology.
Steve Tatro
Steve is a civil engineering consultant specializing in the evaluation, testing, design, and construction of concrete materials for dams and other concrete structures. He has more than 35 years experience in concrete technology.
